Who Said it? Donald Trump or NBA Superstar Lebron James? The Answers Will Not Surprise You.

Presidential candidate and former Comedy Central Roastee Donald Trump has made multiple headlines this year for his repetitive racist and fascist-like remarks. His cartoonish rich-guy cliches have lent themselves to multiple satire articles. Some of them are better than others. What we’re getting at is that it’s harder than we had initially anticipated. Anyways, this is “Who Said It: Donald Trump or Lebron James?” You’ll probably get all of these right. They’re not that hard. Whatever. Here. Content.

“I will build the best wall, the biggest, the strongest, not penetrable, they won’t be crawling over it, like giving it a little jump and they’re over the wall, it will cost us trillions.”

Answer: Donald Trump

Pretty obvious right? Like it would be really weird for Lebron James to take such a radical stance on immigration during his run to 11 NBA All-Star selections. I guess it could feasibly happen, but it would be sort of out of character for him to actively try to appeal to the racist fears of Middle America out of nowhere.

“You know, God gave me a gift to do other things besides play the game of basketball.”

Answer: Lebron James.

Okay I guess technically Donald Trump could have said this. But realistically, the only time when this quote would make sense coming from him is if someone asked him “Donald, why aren’t you a professional basketball player?” Pretty specific question to ask him, given his reasons of notoriety, you know?

“Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are little short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”

Answer: Donald Trump

Again, this shouldn’t really blow your mind. Lebron James himself is black, so it would be pretty nuts for him to say he’s super against black guys counting his money. I can’t say that I know he’s not an anti-semite, but I feel like he wouldn’t generalize all jewish people like that. It’d be pretty fucked up if he did. I mean he’s better than that, you know? You should be 3 for 3 right now.

“The Oscars were a great night for Mexico, and why not – they are ripping off the US more than almost any other nation.”

Answer: Lebron James. No just kidding it’s Trump again.

Can you imagine if Lebron James was the same guy, but just really hated Mexicans the same way Trump does? Like, a dominant point forward and NBA champion, but just REALLY fucking cannot stand Mexicans. That’d be so weird. Anyways, yeah, you should have gotten this one right too. Sorry. I wish this quiz could be harder. We just didn’t plan it out very well.

“I love Kobe. I love his competitive nature. I love competing against him. I talked to him before the season just to say it’s great to have him back”

Answer: Lebron James

Are we even fucking trying at this point? Yeah, obviously that’s a Lebron James quote. Okay well, we warned you. Article is over. Whatever. We tried.

Kim Dickens Reveals Answers About That ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Premiere

There’s a big reason to be scared on Sunday nights, and it’s only partially because you have work on Monday.

The much-anticipated “Walking Dead” companion series, “Fear the Walking Dead,” finally premiered on AMC, and it was intense. Things got started when Nick (Frank Dillane) woke up from a drug binge to discover that a bunch of people are dead and his friend is eating them. Realizing this isn’t normal, he runs into the street, gets hit by a car and winds up in a hospital bed, a la Rick Grimes – and the series gets underway.

Image: MoviePilot/AMC

We’ve heard the companion series would be way different from “Walking Dead,” and the premiere finally showed us what that meant. While the original show has been a lot about cool zombie head shots, the “Fear” premiere focused more on the struggles of Madison Clark (Kim Dickens), a school guidance counselor who couldn’t care less about being sentimental, and her boyfriend Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis), an English teacher, as they try to blend their families in the midst of a zombie outbreak. (Great timing, y’all.)

The premiere answered a lot of questions, but it raised quite a few as well. For instance, while struggling with a zombie at the end, did Madison actually get bit? And why do Madison’s kids hate Travis so much? Plus, Travis fixes a leak and says he saved them $ 300. Would it really cost that much? If so, why didn’t we all just become plumbers?

Luckily, “Fear” actress Kim Dickens talked with The Huffington Post about the premiere to answer those questions and more:

There’s a struggle between you and a zombie at the end of the first episode. Did you actually get bit?

It doesn’t appear that my character gets bitten. That’s for sure. There’s definitely scuffling, as our characters are certainly naïve of the dangers of what exactly is going on. So we get dangerously close to them.

What’s scarier: fighting zombies or raising the teens?

I personally have not raised any teens, but I have been a teenager. I jokingly said my character’s training is that she’s been wrangling teenagers for a while.

Why do the kids hate Travis so much? He seems cool.

I don’t know if they hate him. I think it’s just sort of daily dramas that go with blending a family when you have teenagers, and there’s a new authority in the house and everyone’s adjustment to that.

Since a lot of the series focuses on Los Angeles, are we going to see health-conscious or vegan zombies?

They may have been healthy before they were zombies. But I don’t think they’re very discerning in their appetite. Or they are discerning but certainly not healthy. Our zombies are fresher because they’re less decomposed. It’s an earlier place in this outbreak. So our infected — we’re not calling them zombies or walkers, we’re calling them “infected” because that’s all we know — so they look different. They’re fresher.

Though you call them infected, on “Walking Dead” they’re called walkers. LA isn’t known for people walking a lot. Do you think that gives you an advantage?

[Laughs] Well, you know, you can get in your car, and you’re stranded in traffic, so I don’t think it’s necessarily an advantage.

Will we see any LA celebrity zombies?

Wouldn’t that be great? Or go see a zombie ruin somebody’s red carpet moment. I don’t think so. Not in the first season, at least.

Image: YouTube/MakeAGif

What is the symbol your character’s daughter Alicia gets drawn on her arm? Just a spiral?

I don’t know. That’s between her and her boyfriend’s character.

While in the hospital talking to the cops, Nick says he doesn’t even know what viscera is. Can you explain to everyone what is viscera? And can we expect more big words on the show?

[Laughs] I would imagine so. Viscera. Isn’t it parts inside the body?

Yeah, I think it’s like entrails and stuff. Speaking of that, when you guys go to the drug den there’s blood everywhere. Why don’t you call the cops at that point?

I’ve had a lot of dealings with the cops and probably wanted to get to my son first. [Madison’s] son on the show is an addict, so I think her instinct was just to try to get him on her own rather than go to the cops.

Early on, Travis repairs a leak and says it saves you $ 300. Would it really cost that much?

I don’t know. You’re gonna have to talk with the writers because that seems kind of pricey.

If the zombies don’t scare ya, the repair bills sure will.

“Fear the Walking Dead” airs Sunday at 9:00 p.m. ET on AMC.

Hilarious Black Dude Answers White People’s Most Burning Questions

“Have you ever had a question you wanted to ask the one black friend that you know, but refrained because you didn’t want to run the risk of sounding racist?”

That’s the question Gabriel Green asked at the College Union Poetry Slam Invitational finals  in March. Green, a student at Eastern Michigan University, gives hilarious responses to common mysteries he assumes white people are dying to solve. For example, why are black people so good at basketball?

His explanations are funny, but also serve to demystify the black experience for his white peers.

On his list of questions is, “Do black people hate all white people?” to which Green says, “Of course we don’t, we just hate the people who perpetuate or refuse to acknowledge the history of social, political, and racial f**kery placed against us.”

And yes, Green reminds white audience members, if you have to ask if something is racist… it is.

The competition included several other talented poets that performed pieces about the challenges of black experience. Head over to Button Poetry to watch those.

Answers to Every Question You’ve Ever Had About Buying and Selling Fashion on eBay

When it comes to scoring amazing deals on designer pieces or tracking down something specific you love (like that pair of heels you loved two years ago, but never actually made the move to buy), there’s nothing better than eBay. Even so, the amount of shoppers who are skeptical, confused, or downright scared of it is way too high, a big bummer since the fashion is major on the site.

“It’s grown to a $ 15 billion-a-year business,” Marcelle Parrish, head of fashion at eBay Marketplaces, told us, with shoes and bags proving to be especially popular (a pair of shoes sells every two seconds and a purse every five; on mobile, the numbers are seven and 11 seconds, respectively.) Within the North American market, there’s an average of 34 million listings per week across all fashion categories; the most popular women’s brands are Coach, Diane von Furstenberg, Missoni, and Valentino.

laptop-cup-of-coffee

For newbies nervous about winding up with a counterfeit, hear this: You have no reason to freak out. “Nothing is more important than the trust of our customers. When you buy or sell, we have your back,” eBay’s vice president of Global Trust, Laura Chambers, said. The site’s Money Back Guarantee is a well-seasoned system where shoppers register a complaint and eBay assists in a negotiation of sorts. The majority of sellers will do a return and refund, even if the option was marked as not available on the original listing, and if things get cantankerous, eBay steps in. Bottom line: You’ll never be stuck with the world’s worst fake and be out a few hundred bucks.

Tips and Tricks for Buying on eBay

1. Search Smartly
Start with the obvious keywords, and take advantage of filters available on the left-hand side of the page to wade through a large amount of matching listings. Griff Griffith, part of the community and education team at eBay, suggested further customizing the results you see by re-sorting by price once you have the general search right.

2. Pay Attention to the Little Clues
As diligent as the site tries to be, there are fakes posted. The easiest way to avoid buying something fake is to pay attention to any red flags. Is the price way too good to be true? Are pictures scant or badly out-of-focus? Is something just a little off, whether hardware wrapped in plastic or a logo that just doesn’t seem right? If you feel iffy about it, listen to your gut. Also to check: For shoes, is there a full range of sizes listed? If a seller in China has every single size of Isabel Marant ankle boots available, something’s fishy.

3. Check Out the Seller
EBay’s format includes feedback that gives you a snapshot of who you’re buying from. A brand-new account with no reviews or previous sales but a crazy cache of Chanel bags listed? It could be legit…or not. Click through to see the other items a seller has for sale for a good feel if you’re browsing the wares of a thirtysomething fashion fiend who’s cleaning out her closet or someone with a single fashion item that looks glaringly out of place alongside nonrelated items like tech gadgets or game consoles.

4. Do Your Homework
Before shopping a designer bag, some due diligence is in order. Know different brands’ hallmarks of authenticity (we covered Chanel, Balenciaga, Celine, and more); eBay has a robust section dedicated to educating shoppers too.

5. Now, Actually Start Bidding
Decide your top price before things get going to avoid being swept up in the excitement. You can enter your max bid off the bat, and eBay will automatically increase your offer as other shoppers join in. If you’re more into watching the shopping action as it unfolds, download the app and get your clicking finger ready (a lot of bids come in during the last five or 10 minutes of an auction). If you win, pay promptly.

Tips and Tricks for Selling on eBay

1.Write a Lengthy Description and Use Lots of Details
Imagine what you’d want as a shopper and give your prospective buyers that. The more information the better, as it’ll instill confidence in you and answer any questions they might think of. EBay has fields for all sort of characteristics, including specific measurements and materials; take advantage of those areas and answer.

2. Your Item Title Should Be Keyword-Rich
Shoppers are typically super specific, so beefing up your headline will help to get more potential buyers. Use the brand name (and make sure it’s spelled correctly), but also include the size, material, color, and a style name if relevant.

3. Take Good Pictures (and Lots of Them)
Pictures can make a huge difference whether your item sells, so add as many as you can to your listing. Take the general shot, but also zoom in on hardware, embellishments, and any tears, scratches, or discolored areas. Consider angles that will also reveal something additional about whatever you’re selling, whether it’s hanging it from a doorknob or adding a common item in for size relevance (think a dollar bill, a water bottle, etc).

4. Start Your Listing on These Days
Per eBay, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the best days to post items. (We’ve already heard that Tuesday is also the best day to shop online).

5. Be Realistic About Pricing
Setting your item at a too-high price is a sure way to never sell it. Consider how much you paid for it and what similar items are being sold for. Certain designer items will hold their value really well (a lot of designer handbags, jewelry), while other pieces decrease drastically as soon as you remove the tags.

6. Consider Offering Free Shipping
Plenty of serious sellers we’ve chatted with have encouraged offering the incentive. “Shipping items fast and free is one of the keys to being a successful seller on eBay,” Linda Lightman, CEO of top eBay shop Linda’s Stuff offered as a suggestion. When you purchase and print potage through eBay’s portal, you’ll also save on the prices the local post office would charge you (you can simply tape the label to your package).

Single on Thanksgiving? Here Are Quick Answers to Your Relatives’ Most Annoying Questions

The questions arise when you’re passing the potatoes or putting out the nut cups. Are you seeing anyone special? Playing the field? When are you going to settle down?

Singles are often grilled about their personal lives in a way their married relations rarely are. When was the last time your sister and brother-in-law were asked to defend their “married lifestyle” to a table of 12?

Most of the time, the inquisitors don’t mean to make their single relations uncomfortable. They’re just curious, and maybe a little concerned. But they can still drive even the most self-possessed singleton to the cocktail cart. So, here are a few conversational exit strategies to some of the holiday’s most irritating questions.

What They Say: “Why are you single?”

What They Mean: “You’re a very appealing person, so clearly, this is a choice you’ve made.”

What You Hear: “What’s wrong with you?”

How to Respond: “I don’t know.”

This might sound weird, but I find it’s the easiest answer. Otherwise, you’re likely to start dissecting all of your psychological eccentricities, musing about whether you’re too picky or too independent, slowly shredding your dignity like a cocktail napkin. “I don’t know” stops the conversation.

What They Say: “Are you seeing anyone special?”

What They Mean: “I’m curious about your life.”

What You Hear: “Prove that you’re not a lost cause.”

How to Respond: “Not at the moment.”

Again, short and light is key. The temptation might be to give a passionate speech about how amazing your solo life is and assure your curious relative that you’re too busy with work and friends to even think about dating. That’s fine if it’s true, but oftentimes we give the “too busy” speech as a hedge against pity, bending over backwards to assure family members that our lives are deeply fulfilling, non-stop fun or both. That’s too much work, and it can also send the wrong message. Who knows? Your cousin might have a cute neighbor or co-worker she wants to introduce you to. “Not at the moment” leaves you open, but also assures your relatives that you’re not worried about your romantic future, so they shouldn’t be either.

What They Say: “Aren’t you afraid you’ll spend the rest of your life alone?”

What They Mean: “Because the idea scares the crap out of me.”

What You Hear: “I’m looking into your future, and I see a cranky hoarder with 35 cats.”

How To Respond: “I’d be more worried about spending the rest of my life with the wrong person.”

Being alone is a big fear for a lot of people, which is why many choose to settle for mediocre relationships. You may not always love being alone, but if you have been on your own for a while, then clearly, you’re not afraid of it. This is not necessarily true for the person passing you the cranberry sauce.

But again, be gentle and avoid righteous speeches, since they rarely take dinner table talk to a good place. And remember, there is one guaranteed way to change the subject: Stop answering so many questions about your life, and start asking others questions about theirs.
