Stephen Colbert is producing an animated news spoof for CBS All Access

Stephen Colbert is producing an animated news spoof for CBS All AccessCBS thinks it has a clever way to draw more people to All Access besides more Star Trek: have one of its best-known personalities produce a show with a unique format. The talk show host is executive producing Tooning Out the News, an animated series that will both riff on current events and interview real guests. There will be weekly episodes like you'd expect, but there will also be daily segments that ridicule the news from mere hours earlier. The magic of "computers" will help get that done, as the trope-heavy announcement video makes clear.

Listen To The Spoof Of Ben Carson’s Hip-Hop Radio Ad

STRAIGHT FIRE … would be less painful on your ears.

Dr. Ben Carson’s presidential campaign released a cringeworthy hip-hop song last week called “Freedom.” The radio spot is slated to air over the next two weeks in Detroit, Atlanta, Memphis, and in several other markets with large black populations. If you haven’t heard the actual ad, listen to it here for free (although it might cost you your appreciation of rap music forever).

The blame for this audible torture shouldn’t be assigned solely to Ben Carson, nor to its rapper, Aspiring Mogul. No, the real offender here is Carson’s campaign manager; whoever was behind the scenes making this nightmare a reality.

Unfortunately for music lovers, Carson’s campaign manager decided to drop a track of his own. This follow-up rap radio ad, titled “Panderdom,” is much less subtle in attempting to appeal to young, black voters. Listen to the parody below.

Jimmy Fallon And Kevin Bacon Spoof The Beach Boys’ ‘Fun, Fun, Fun’

Is there anything more fun, fun, fun than a hamburger stand? The Beach Boys don’t think so.

Jimmy Fallon and Kevin Bacon parodied the rock band’s song “Fun, Fun, Fun” on Friday by showing what the “first draft” of the classic hit sounded like. It turns out it was basically just the guys singing about a hamburger stand the whole time.

Bacon has gone on record saying people still come up to him and say his “Footloose“ entrance on “The Tonight Show” was the greatest thing he ever did. Now with this segment too, we’re just wondering when Fallon is going to bring him on permanently.

Wow. If that would happen, we’re talking hamburger-stand-level fun here, people.

“The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.

‘SNL’ Introduces A New ‘Game Of Thrones’ Kingdom With ‘Boyz N The Hood’ Spoof

Game of Thrones” is about to introduce us to a new region of Westeros, but we’re not talking about Dorne. We’re heading to South Centros.

“Saturday Night Live” imagined what a crossover between “Game of Thrones” and John Singleton’s “Boyz n the Hood” would look like, resulting in an eighth kingdom.

The “SNL” parody features Ice Cube (Kenan Thompson) decked out in Jon Snow-like attire, Leslie Jones spoofing Brienne, and host Taraji P. Henson getting emotional over the Red Wedding.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the Kingslayer himself, also shows up with a message for the haters. This probably isn’t the movie spinoff George R.R. Martin had in mind.

“Game of Thrones” returns Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

Dakota Johnson Joins ISIS In Provocative ‘SNL’ Spoof

Well, this got people’s attention.

Dakota Johnson of “Fifty Shades of Grey” bids an emotional farewell to her father and joins up with ISIS in an edgy “Saturday Night Live” spoof that aired this weekend.

The bit parodies a Toyota Camry ad in which a father drops off his daughter at the airport so she can presumably depart for military duty.

Only in the faux commercial, “SNL” guest host Johnson reassures her weepy pop (Taran Killam), “Dad, it’s just ISIS.” Then some gun-toting Islamic State fighters drive into view to escort her away, slamming the brakes on the sentimental moment.

In the wake of growing reports of women joining the Islamic State and kidnappings by the militant group, the sketch was sure to touch a nerve.

According to reports, it has been met with both outrage and applause.

What do you think?
